MatikaHumanity is now more attentive than ever before to the impact it has the capability of creating on a global scale for good or for detrement. Let's not forget what got Humanity and our Environment in the mess it seems to be in today. Our Planet Earth as much as we want to say that we love it and that it is our Home and Mother, in its vary nature has provided us with somewhat of a hostile environment - at least for our species according to us. What a challenging training- ground for intellectual development we have found ourselves thrust into and nourished by! All of Humanity's desires for well-being seem to be pointing in the same direction, in that we all want what we think is a comfortable and healthy environment to live, raise our offspring, and prosper in - while still maintaining some sense of individuality without straining ourselves financially (whatever that means). Humanity has done what seemed sensible at the time to create a better environment, unfortunately some of our technilogical advances although having served a purpose have now been discovered to be counter-productive to our ultimate desires and goals, and have had or soon will have a visible negative impact. Now is the time to make things right. Corrective ajustments in those areas not proving to be useful anymore may be hastened by merely having some attitude adjusments. This requires some flexiblity in Humanity's thinking. The time is right due much to the Technological & Communication age for the majority of most nations to co-opperate in this endeavour: In terms of creating a Model Plan or Strategy that not only includes Carbon Neutrality but also Sustainability and Regeneration capabilities, we in Fairfield Iowa are in a much better situation than our previous successors in attempting this endeavour on a city /local level and may even attempt a model by which other small communities can follow our lead. We have the ground work of many other great thinkers in this area of expertise to utilize. .............. Is humanity aware? education Challenge for our intelligence: How can we make a hostile environment work for us? sun, wind, fire, water,and earth. What is a comfortable environment? physically, mentally and spiritually. |
