Ideas for outreach:
Weekly/bi-weekly meetings – public conversations, lunch & learns
Design an action/info series
Resource center table
- Scheduled launch date – Monday, Oct. 1
- Create binder – groups submit info to Eric Randall
- Create sign – Briggs, Michael, Steve (talk to Julie re sign size & location)
- Staff table M-Sat 12 noon – 1 pm (longer if person is available)
- Monday – food committee (Grover) and CNI
- Tuesday – communications committee (Diane)
- Wednesday – building committee (Briggs)
- Thursday – transportation committee (Ben)
- Friday – energy committee (Allen)
- Saturday – waste committee (Michael)
- Volunteer will:
- Answer questions
- Capture emails
- Recruit volunteers
[Another idea – conduct informal survey, e.g., about what people need, what they are already doing, submit possible questions to Steve]
- Info each group will submit:
- Project descriptions
- Local resources/contacts
- Recommended books
- Recommended websites
- Top 10 Things to Do
- Create handout(s) of Top 10 Things to Do
