- In addition to the Fairfield Loop trail, a 33-mile recreational trail circling the city, the Trail Council is rolling out a city-wide system of bikeway-walkway signage in the winter of 2007-08. Monthly meetings are open to the public.

- Everybody's Whole Foods Store has the only bulletin board in town dedicated to ride sharing, at 501 N 2nd St. http://FairfieldToday.com also has an online ride-sharing board, but as of this writing it is not operational.
