How about "Waste Management" - definitely a step above "Waste." There still is a cultural preconception about and against "waste" -- most people think of "waste" the stinky stuff they put out in trash barrels and flush down their toilets. Somehow the title of this group needs to be lifted above these preconceptions. Waste just conjures up the wrong connotations for most people. But then, this is all part of the commonplace mindset that this group needs to address and change...

I can definitely change the name of the page however you want... did your group come up with a de facto leader on Tuesday? Consensus can be a slippery concept when you don't know how many people are reading!

- Implementing waste management program in schools schools manage their own * waste also educational for students
- Ban plastic and non-degradable containers already done in San Francisco and other areas
